• The contest has ended.
  • The book is at the printer!
  • The drawing winners are being notified.

In case you missed the news, Popcorn Press spent the month of October preparing Vampyr Verse, a book of poetry for release on Halloween. Early in the month of November, a print version will be available on Amazon.com and PopcornPress.com. An ebook version is also planned in Kindle and Mobipocket formats.

What follows is the original contest info, for those who might be interested:

We’re holding a contest to give away copies of the book! Contest entry is free.

Contest winners will fall into two categories: Authors and Allies.

Authors

  • If you have vampyr-related poetry, we’d love to see it. Please use the “Submit to Us!” form to send your entries. (If formatting is an issue, submit a message via the form and we’ll make other arrangements.)
  • Submissions will be reviewed by Lester Smith, president of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets.
  • Previously published poems are welcome, as are multiple submissions. We cannot, however, accept submissions currently being considered elsewhere (i.e. “simultaneous submissions”).
  • Each poem chosen for publication will earn its author a free copy of the book. (Winning entries also earn membership in Popcorn Press’s Authors’ group, which gives a 40 percent discount on all titles at PopcornPress.com.)
  • Submission deadline is midnight, Friday, October 23.

Allies

  • We’re also holding a drawing to give away ten free copies to people who help spread the word about the contest.
  • Twitter users who ReTweet any post by @VampyrVerse during the month of October will automatically be entered. Each post ReTweeted increases your chances of winning.
  • Anyone who posts an announcement advertising this contest on a blog or social media page (Facebook, MySpace, etc.) and sends us an email with a link to that post will also be entered into the drawing. Use the “Submit to Us” form to send a link to the announcement.
  • Everyone who submits a poem for consideration is also automatically entered into the drawing.

Contest winners will be announced on Halloween!

More details will follow in the days to come, so keep an eye on this Web site as it develops. Thanks!
